West Side Christian Ministers Association sponsoring event on National Day of Prayer

The Westside Christian Ministers Association will hold an event to prayer for the city, county, state, and nation on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Aera Gym at the Parks and Recreation Center on Cascade Place.
Representatives from local government  will be present to share some prayer concerns, and then members of the Westside Christian Ministers Association will be praying. The public is invited to join this important event.
National Days of Prayer have been observed since the time of George Washington. Abraham Lincoln brought them back during the Civil War. President Ronald Reagan declared the first Thursday in May to be the National Day of Prayer, and it has been observed at that time every year since.
