Event will take place at Taft College
The high school sports season may have ended with a championship for the Wildcats, but that will not be last big game that will be taking place in Taft as the Kern County High School all-star baseball game returns for a second straight year on Saturday, June 21 at the Taft College baseball field.
Graduates and undergraduates from 2014 will be selected to participate in the game. Players from all over Kern County will have an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of College and professional scouts and coaches.
The day will begin with a check in and warm up at 9 a.m. A half hour later an optional 60-yard times will be held with batting practice starting at 10 a.m. Infield and outfield practice will begin at 11 a.m. The first pitch will be thrown at 11:35 a.m. with the game starting at noon.
