Students look back on experience in junior high, forward to high school.

Two hundred and thirty-three eighth graders are finding out just how fast things can change.
The students received their eighth grade diplomas Thursday night, but not before they were greeted by Taft Union High School Principal Bernardo Valenzuela, who will be their principal for the next four years at Taft Union High school.

Valenzuela congratulated the Lincoln class of 2014 and reminded them that they are about to become the Taft Union High school class of 2018.

The graduating eighth graders received their diplomas on a very warm night before several thousand friends, families and well-wishers.

Jordan Blaska, Sierra Pilgrim and Sawyer Maier were the graduation speakers.
