Congressman will be here to listen and answer questions, too

It's going to be a fun day on Sunday at Taft's version of Fenway Park when Congressman Kevin McCarthy comes to Taft for a community whiffle ball game and a hot dog barbecue and just listen to Taft residents.

McCarthy, just elected House majority leader by his fellow Republicans, will be at Oil Field, the new wiffle ball park built as a scale model of the famed Fenway Park in Boston (complete with Green Monster) from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kids from the community will be playing wiffle ball, hot dogs will be served after the game and McCarthy will field questions.

Oil Field is located on the east side of the recreation center gym at 500 Cascade Place and is south of the main parking lot.
