Maricopa man seeks return of 17 saddles, other items taken from barns

A Maricopa man is offering a reward for information leading to the return of 17 saddles and various tack items stolen from two barns in rural Maricopa.

John Ashcraft said his barns were broken into Monday in the area of Pentland Road and Highway 166 and about $10,000 worth of items were stolen.

The suspects stole numerous saddles, saddle stands, bridles, and miscellaneous tack

“I don't have a bridle or a saddle left to ride my horses,” he said.

The theft is under investigation by the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Ashcraft said he can identify the stolen items.
