Robert Martin Trahan was born in Taft, September 13, 1931 to Ralph and Loudie Trahan and entered heaven on June 26, 2014. He attended St. Mary’s school, Villanova Prep School and Loyola University. In 1954 he took over his father’s store, Trahan’s Appliance.
He was a past president of the Taft Chamber of Commerce, served on 2 Kern County Grand Juries and received the Salesman of the Year award from Westinghouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-granddaughter, Tenley Trahan.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rowena Trahan. Also a son, Martin Trahan and his wife Marsha, a daughter, Taryn and her husband Thomas Richardson.
Grandchildren, Amelia Love and her husband Ryan, Amanda Pelfrey, and her husband Joshua, Justin Trahan, and his wife Kristi, Dustin Trahan and his wife Kenna.
Six great grandchildren, Jacob Love, Mattie Pelfrey, Gunnar Love, Joshua Pelfrey, Kenzie and Jordan Trahan.
