Taft man stopped on Sixth Street Monday and Tuesday for driving without a license
One traffic ticket wasn't enough to convince a Taft man that you shouldn't drive without a license.
Sergio Robles got two tickets in two days and had his car impounded after he was stopped by Taft Police two days in a row driving on Sixth Street without a valid California driver's license.
Robles, 48, got a ticket for driving without a valid license at 11:15 a.m. on Monday on the 900 block of Sixth Street, Lt. Pete Aranda said.
He was told to park his car and walk.
The next day, Tuesday, he was stopped on Sixth Street just a few blocks away near Kern, driving the same vehicle.
He was ticketed again for driving without a license, and this time cited for driving without proof of insurance.
In addition, Taft Police had Robles' car, a 2001 Kia Spectra, impounded for 30 days, Aranda said.
