She was passenger in car that was stopped for not having a bumper

A Taft woman was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop led to the discovery of a controlled substance.

Kern County Sheriff's deputies made a traffic stop on a car with no rear bumper in the South Taft area on July 12.

The suspect, Chadra Lacoy, 28, was a passenger in the car.

During a search, Sgt. Marc Haiungs said, deputies located three oxycodone pills and 21 acetaminophen-oxycodone hydrochloride pills.

The sergeant said Lacoy did not have a prescription for these narcotic pills. She was was arrested and booked into the Taft City Jail for possession of a controlled substance and for transportation of a controlled substance.
