Suspects were sleeping in backyard on Eastern Avenue
Three people found sleeping in the backyard Monday morning slept in jail Monday night after they were arrested for warrants.
Kern County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on the 500 block of Eastern Avenue by a neighbor concerned that the three were trespassing.
They found Shawn Thompson, 18, Douglas Thompson, 34, and Tamatha Moor, 48, in the rear yard, Sgt. Marc Haiungs said.
It turns out they weren't trespassing, but a check by deputies revealed all three had active arrest warrants.
Shawn Thompson was arrested on a juvenile warrant and ended up in juvenile hall.
Jail records show Douglas Thompson was arrested on a no-bail warrant for violating parole and Moor was arrested on a $25,000 warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
It is not known if the Thompsons are related.
