Ford City man had meth and bullets when arrested, KCSO says
Deputies serving arrest three misdemeanor warrants in Ford City ended up arresting their suspect on felony drug and ammunition charges Tuesday evening.
Sgt. Marc Haiungs said deputies from the Taft Substation went to 603 Tyler Street to arrest Fredrick Fowler, 55, on four outstanding arrest warrants.
Upon their arrival, deputies located Fowler standing in the front yard of the residence. Deputies detained Fowler while they conducted a probation search of the residence. During the course of their search deputies located suspected methamphetamine, two used hypodermic syringes, and ammunition, Haiungs said.
Deputies arrested, transported, and booked Fowler into the Taft City Jail for his outstanding warrants and for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and for being a felon in possession of ammunition. Fowler was scheduled to appear in Lamont Court on Thursday.
He is being held on $82,000 bail.
