John Odle had 21 points in the game

The Taft freshmen boys basketball team got a chance to get back into the win column on the road Friday afternoon when they rolled past the Arvin Bears 46-27.

With the victory, Taft improves to 3-7 overall and 1-1 in the South Sequoia League.

John Odle led Taft in scoring with 21 while Austin Massey had 8. Brett Walls chipped in with 6 while Sawyor Talnenetz had 4. Reese Hammons had 3 while Wendall Stewart and Jacob Ellis rounded out the scoring for the Wildcats with 2 points each.

Taft returns to action Tuesday when they host Robert F. Kennedy. The game begins at 4 p.m.
