The first annual Taft Bike Fest is just a month away and already the activities have started.
A fundraising car wash held at Cycle Katz on Sunday helped raise money for Alpha House and the NEEDS Center.
Organizers are planning three big days of activity centered around Rails to Trails and the downtown area on Labor Day weekend (Sept. 2-4).
Taft Bike Fest will include a motorcycle show and contest, motorcycle stunt show, burnout contest, slow drag races and all sorts of biker games.
But the fun doesn't stop there. Bike Fest will also include a beer garden (and a saloon in the Pioneer Mercantile building will be open as a bar for the event), tattoo and pinup girl contests and much, much more.
Camping will be available along Rails to Trails for RVs, trailers and tents. There are no hookups.
