Crash may have involved DUI driver
Two women were killed last night when a pickup truck collided with a small car on Highway 119 Thursday afternoon and the crash may have been caused by a drunk driver, according to multiple reports.
The names of the victims, both from the Taft area, have not been released.
The crash occurred about 5:45 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 119 between Buena Vista Road and South Allen Road.
Details on the accident were not immediately available from the California Highway Patrol.
A suspect was arrested and charged with DUI and vehicular manslaughter, according to reports from the scene, but Taft Midway Driller has not been able to confirm his name.
