Search and Rescue team called out
The Kern County Sheriff's Search and Rescue team was called out to Lake Webb at Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area Thursday afternoon to search for a possible drowning victim.
Emergency crews were first called about 2:30 p.m. to a report of a man seen going underwater a short distance off shore.
Kern County firefighters, Sheriff's deputies and park rangers arrived on scene.
Witnesses says they saw the man go under water about 20 feet off shore but he did not resurface.
