House was destroyed, church damaged in early morning blaze
A Taft man has been arrested and charged with arson in connection with a fire that destroyed a house and damaged a church and automobile in Tupman early Monday morning.
Raymond Mosier was arrested on Thursday on four counts of arson, Kern County Fire Department Spokesman Jason Knaggs said.
The arrest was made by KCFD arson investigators following "an exhaustive investigation," Knaggs said.
Taft Police and the Kern County Sheriff's Office assisted in the investigation.
Mosier is accused of setting a fire about 1:30 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find the residential structure totally involved in fire, Knaggs said, and were able to protect the Tupman Post Office from damage.
