Home volleyball, tennis matches may be rescheduled for next week

A late-summer heat wave has forced cancellation of all outdoor practices and postponement of of tennis and volleyball matches on Tuesday.

Predicted highs in the 108-degree range triggered the decision.

Athletic Director Pete Lango sent out an email to all coaches Sunday evening advising them of the decision to cancel all outdoor practices on Monday.
Monday morning, the decision was made to call off two scheduled athletic events for Tuesday.

The school said it is going to postpone non-league volleyball matches with Highland in Mullen Gym and a tennis match here against Bakersfield Christian.
