It's in celebration of Constitution Day on Monday

Congressman Kevin McCarthy’s Bakersfield office will offer to the public pocket-sized copies of the U.S. Constitution on Monday, September 18, in celebration of Constitution Day.
The Congressman's office is located at  4100 Empire Drive, Suite 150, Bakersfield and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“The Constitution has been the bedrock of American government, liberty and rule of law for 230 years,” said McCarthy. “It is the fabric for American democracy and continues to be the guiding, living document for our freedoms and principles. We celebrate it every day, but especially on its anniversary. I encourage anyone interested in our Constitution to visit my Bakersfield office to pick up a copy of their own and carry with them the words that shape the foundation of our nation.”
Although pocket Constitutions are always available in McCarthy’s offices, residents are encouraged to visit the office in honor of Constitution Day. The office will hold the celebration  on Monday  following the official date on  Sunday, September 17.
