Public encouraged to attend with ideas

The future of Taft's Relay for Life is hanging in the balance and there is going to be an important town hall meeting to discuss its future.

The American Cancer Society is planning a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16 at 6 the party room next to Aera Gym and bowling alley at the West Side recreation and park District Community Center.

Participation and fundraising fin the annual Relay for Life, held each May on the Taft Union High School track, has dwindled in the past several years.
Net Year's Relay --if it is held -- would be Taft's 10th.

The public is invited to attend with questions, concerns, and ideas.

Representatives from the American Cancer Society in Bakersfield will also be in attendance.
