'Sights and Sounds of Christmas' is theme for 72nd annual event

More than 60 entries will rock, roll, walk, ride and march down Center Street Monday night in the 72nd annual Taft Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade.
This year's theme is "Sights and Sounds of Christmas."
The parade start sat 6 p.m. at 8th and Center.
Entries can will line up at their division signs on Main Street and the parade will disband at the old hospital grounds on East Center.
The following streets will be closed by the City of Taft Monday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.:
• Main Street from 2nd to 8th Street
•Center Street from 2nd Street to 8th Street
• 8th Street from Center Street to Main Street
The following streets will be closed from the alley north of Center Street to the alley south of
Center Street:
• 6th Street, 5th Street, 4th Street and 3rd Street.
