Cooper's True Value is Business of the Year
The Taft Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of the annual awards for service to the community.
They will be honored at the "Kudos & Cocktails" reception and awards and installation night on Feb. 8 at the Taft Petroleum Club.
"Congratulations to our award recipients for 2017," said Chamber Event Coordinator Shannon Jones. "These leaders have made an impact on our community and deserve the utmost respect and recognition. Join us as we celebrate and honor them!"
The winners to be honored are:
Business Man of the Year – Les Clark Jr, Independent Oil Producers Agency
Business Woman of the Year – Yvette Mayfield, City of Taft
Business of the Year – Cooper’s True Value
Volunteer Award – Esther Livingston
Community Service Award – TUHS Career Technical Education Center.
The entire community is invited to mix and mingle with our local business community during the cocktail-style reception party honoring the winners.
The “Kudos & Cocktails” party will begin at 5:30 p.m. with socializing and networking with fellow community leaders, and include a light dinner and a no-host bar,
The Taft Chamber will give “Kudos” to our outstanding community leaders, and highlight our Chamber sponsors and members in a short presentation during the cocktail party.
Tickets for this event are only $30 this year, with event sponsorships available for $100 to $400 that include tickets to the party.
“We decided to change the venue and the vibe for this year’s event,” said Jones."
The cocktail party will not include a formal presentation; just a great opportunity to socialize and network with friends and colleagues outside normal business hours.
