Court appearances set for several suspects
Five people are now facing charges stemming from a strong-armed robbery in Taft on Jan. 4 according to court records.
Taft Police said several people attacked a man and a woman on the 600 block of Sixth Street, stealing cash before fleeing.
Medical aid was summoned for one victim but he declined transport to a hospital.
One suspect, Steven Burell, 19, was arrested by Taft Police a few minutes later several blocks away from the crime scene.
He is charged with robbery, assault and conspiracy, according to the Kern County Superior Court website.
He is free on $50,000 bail and scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
A second suspect, Lidge Road Livingston, 22, was arrested on Jan. 8 and now faces charges of robbery, assault and conspiracy. He is due back in court on Feb. 7

Since then, charges have been field against three more suspects.
They are identified on the Court website as
•Elizabeth Maria Rodriguez, charged with robbery, assault, conspiracy, and battery. Her bail is set a $65,000 and no court date has been set.
•Jose de Jesus Mota, charged with robbery, assault and conspiracy. His bail is $60,000 and no court date has been set.
•Jacquelyn Lorena Burell, charged with conspiracy and battery. She has not been arrested and no court date has been set.
