He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of second degree murder, other felonies
Vincent Moroyoqui, the Bakersfield man accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed two Taft women, was ordered to stand trial on all counts at a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
Moroyqoi faces two counts of second degree murder and two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter in connection with the July 20, 2017 crash that killed Raeleen Sorensen, 50, and her daughter Raegan Sorensen, 19.
Moroyoqui was driving eastbound on Highway 119 west of Buena Vista Road when his 2006 GMC Sierra pickup went into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with the Ford Focus driven by Raeleen Sorensen.
Moroyoqui has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on February 14.
He has been held without bail in the Kern County Sheriff Lerdo pretrial facility since he was booked several hours after the crash.
