Lions come from behind to beat Fairfax

The Lincoln Jr. High played in the El Tejon Tournament played at Frazier Mountain High School. Once again they came away with another championship trophy.
The team started off playing the Heritage Jr. High School Patriots and got the win. The next game for the Lions was the Fairfax Jr. High School Falcons. Coach Oscar Nuno said, “This was the hardest game of the tournament for us. We went into halftime losing, but the boys turned it around and made a comeback to get the win.”
The Lions faced a familiar opponent in the finals, the RBG Gauchos who they have faced in several other tournaments. The Lions got the win and the big trophy.
Coach Nuno added, “The boys played really well, we shot really good especially from three point range. That is not an area we do a lot of shooting from but they were hot from out there. I was proud of how the boys battled back against Fairfax. We went into halftime losing but we stayed composed and played together and got the win.”
The team has a home game this week.
