Sheriff's investigators seeking help solving multiple thefts

Thieves have stolen a variety of oilfield-related tools and equipment, according to the most recent update from the Kern County sheriff's Rural Crimes Investigations Unit.
Here is a rundown of the latest series of crimes:
•Between  9 a.m.  on  Jan. 10  and  9 a.m.  Jan. 12, unknown suspects stole an oil company’s 1963 blue utility trailer from an oil lease located near Mocal Road and Broadway Street. The trailer is 8’ long and has a single axle. No license number or VIN number was given at the time of the report. •Between Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. and Feb. 3 at 2:20 p.m. someone stole two elevator rods, ¾” and 7/8”, and a dog collar from an oil lease located near Elk Hills Road and Skyline Road. The elevator rods were marked with owner applied numbers of “K-7454-02” and “K-9072-02.” Contact with any information. Refer to case #2018-00017861.
Sometime between  4:30 p.m.  on Feb. 2 and  1:30 p.m.  on Feb. 5, suspects stole two 1” rod tong heads from an oil lease in the area of Elk Hills Road and Skyline Road. Contact Brunsell with any information. Refer to case #2018-00019242.
•Between  4:30 p.m.  on Feb. 2 and Feb. 5 at 4:10 p.m., unknown suspects stole welding equipment including an oxygen bottle, acetylene bottle and 60 feet of torch hose from a property near Cadet Road and Highway 33.
