Graduating seniors planning on a career in health field can apply
Graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing a healthcare education are encouraged to apply for the Harvey L. Hall/Hall Ambulance Medical Scholarship.
The $250 scholarship is open to Kern County students planning to enroll as a first year, full-time-student at an accredited college or university in a medical field major this Fall.
The minimum qualifying grade-point-average is 3.0. Students must submit a completed scholarship application with a 300-word statement indicating their educational plans and career goals and indicate their need for scholarship assistance and any special circumstances.
Applications must be submitted and postmarked no later than April 13, 2018. Presentations will be made during end of year ceremonies at local high schools.
Established in 1999, the Harvey L. Hall/Hall Ambulance Medical Scholarship has benefitted 267 students with $66,750 in financial aid assistance.
