Four others injured when Chevy Tahoe overturns on Bitterwater Road

The victims on a deadly vehicle accident in the Temblors near the Kern-San Luis Obispo County line were from the Avenal area.
Television station KSBY, quoting the California Highway Patrol, said a 50-year-old woman was killed and four other people, all from Avenal, were inside a Chevrolet Tahoe when it crashed on Bitterwater Road about 12 miles north of Highway 58 just after 6 a.m.
The CHP said the driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and lost control, causing the Tahoe to roll over multiple times.
No other vehicles were involved, the CHP said.
Two people who were not wearing seat belts, were thrown from the vehicle, according to the CHP.
The dead woman was a passenger who had to be extricated from the vehicle.
