Incoming students will register for classes and learn about activities, get free Class of 2022 T-shirts

Taft Union High School will host freshmen orientation/registration for eighth graders from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14.

Incoming students will register for classes and learn about activities at the school from sports and clubs to electives and academics.

The new students will receive free Class of 2022 T-shirts.

The Taft High band will greet students on the front lawn as they arrive. Taft High students will be on hand to assist any students as they travel about campus. Students will enter through the main building and then be guided to where they need to go. Those who registered online will start in the quad with the sports and clubs area. Those who did not preregister will be taken to the IRC lecture hall to register by computer.

Students whose last names begin with A-E are asked to arrive between 5:30 and 6 p.m.; F-L last names from 6 to 6:30 p.m.; M-ROD from 6:30 to 7; and, ROG to Z at 7 p.m. There is no benefit to students by arriving earlier than the times listed.
