She was passenger in vehicle struck by pickup

A Southern California woman was killed Friday in a fiery crash that left two men seriously injured.

The California Highway patrol reported a BMW driven by a man from La Habra was westbound on Twisselman Road at about 55 miles per hour approaching Highway 33.
The BMW driver failed to stop at posted stop sign and drove into the path of a Dodge pickup driven by a Coalinga man southbound on Highway 33.

The vehicles collided and the BMW immediately caught fire, the CHP reported.

Passersby pulled the male driver from the burning car but were unable to free his female passenger, also a La Habra resident.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the BMW suffered major injuries, and the driver of the pickup suffered moderate injuries.

The names of the victims haven't been released.

Air ambulances from Bakersfield and Mojave were sent to the scene to transport the injured men to Kern Medical for treatment.

Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors, the CHP said.

Traffic on Highway 33 was blocked for about an hour after the 2:41 p.m. crash.
