Classes continue after 'vague' threat
Kern County Sheriff's deputies are questioning a "person of interest" in connection with the threat of violence at Taft Union High School, the school confirmed at midday Monday.
School officials continue to describe the threat as "vague."
Classes continued as usual Monday afternoon following the threat.
In a message posted on the school's website, the school said "students reported overhearing a vague threat of violence to Taft Union High School."
That information was relayed to school officials and law enforcement was notified.
The Sheriff is investigating the cases because it provides a school resource officer to the District under a contract.
