La Habra woman was due in late May
The La Habra woman killed in a March 9 crash on Highway 33 in northern Kern County was pregnant and the Kern County Coroner is now calling the crash a double fatal.
Eralyn Syril Gellor Binoya, 33, and her unborn child, Chloe Lyn Binoya, both died in the collision
An online birth registry said Binoya's due date was May 24.
The victims were riding in a car driven by the husband and father,Gary Binoya, also of La Habra.
The California Highway Patrol said the Binoyas were in a BMW sedan traveling westbound on Twisselman Road when he failed to stop at the posted stop sign at Highway 33 and drove into the path of a Dodge Ram pickup driven by a Coalinga man.
The BMW caught fire after the crash
Gary Binoya and the pickup driver, identified only as P Higgs III, 28, both suffered major injuries and were airlifted to Kern Medical for treatment.
