Drum pumps, tires taken in another theft

Thieves cut down two poles to steal copper wire in one theft, took wire from an electrical panel and stole tires in two other crimes under investigation by the Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Investigations Unit.

Here's the latest report:

•Sometime between March 9 at 6 a.m. and March 16 at noon, unknown suspects entered an oil lease at an undisclosed location, cut down two power poles and stole approximately 100 feet of copper wire. •Between March 20 at 2 p.m. and March 22 at 2 p.m., unknown suspects forcibly entered an oilfield storage area in the 28000 block of Taft Highway and stole two drum pumps and four tires. Contact Brunsell with any information. Refer to case #2018-00043623.

•Between midnight at 12:10 a.m. March 28, unknown suspects cut the wiring to a new electrical panel and stripped it of its copper wiring, comprised of approximately 250 feet of 500 mcm wire, in an oilfield near Kerto Road and Pentland Road.
