Kern County residents can drop off batteries, paint, pesticides and pool chemicals on April 21

Taft Landfill will be hosting a household hazardous waste collection event on Saturday, April 21.

Bring your automotive fluids, fluorescent light bulbs, household cleaners, batteries, paint, pesticides, pool chemicals, and sharp items to the landfill, located at 13351 Elk Hills Road.

For safety purposes, Kern County Waste has asked that participating residents of Kern County to adhere to the following transportation guidelines: transport no more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds of waste per trip, make sure containers are not leaking and are properly labeled, and keep wastes separated and away from passengers.

Business waste will not be accepted.
