Celebrating 75 years of Navy at China Lake

In November 1943, a group of Navy and civilian visionaries at the Department of Defense launched an ambitious undertaking that would later turn into the largest installation for weapons system testing, research and development the U.S. Navy had.

Fast forward 75 years, and Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake remains a crown jewel of technology, innovation and development for the U.S. military.

On April 26, 2018, the Daily Independent will publish a special section commemorating the 75 years of the Navy's mission at China Lake. The section is sponsored by Leidos and AltaOne Federal Credit Union.
