Two suspects chased him and stabbed him several times

The man stabbed in Taft Heights Friday was attacked by several men, the Kern County Sheriff's Office reported.
The victim was found at a home on the 600 block of A street when deputies responded to a report of a stabbing victim at 11:33 a.m., but he was attacked a short distance away.
Deputies said the victim, identified only as a 45-year-old man, was at a home nearby when several subjects approached him occupying a silver SUV or sedan.

The victim and suspects began fighting, and the victim fled.
Two of the suspects chased him and stabbed him several times. The KCSO described them as two Hispanic males.

The suspects fled in the silver vehicle after the attack.

The victim was airlifted to Kern Medical for treatment and was reported in stable condition about 3 p.m.

The investigation is continuing.
