Police take numerous graffiti reports Saturday and Sunday
A 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an outbreak of vandalism that was discovered Sunday morning and Taft Police are investigating to see if their is a link to a similar series of crimes discovered Saturday.
The juvenile was cited and released to a parent Sunday, Taft Police Lt. Pete Aranda said.
Apparently the parent has already got the boy making amends with his victims.
"The parent took him to the areas he was responsible for doing and started the clean-up and repair process," Aranda said.
At least four areas around the city were damaged Sunday, including block walls, buildings and a pickup truck and trailer.
Police also took four vandalism reports Saturday morning
The suspect is from Southern California, Aranda said.
