Both items found in Valley Acres area
A pickup was stolen from the Midway Sunset Oilfield west of Fellows, then found in the Valley Acres area next to a large amount of stolen copper wire.
The Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crimes Investigations Unit is seeking the public's help in finding out who is responsible for the thefts.
The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup was stolen from an oil related company located in the 200 block of Mocal Road on July 13 between 4:15 a.m. and 5:38 a.m.
The truck was later recovered between Orange Street and Cherry Avenue. A large amount of copper wire was also recovered nearby that was determined to belong to an oil company located in the 28000 block of Hovey Hills Road.
