October 3, 1931 - August 25, 2018

 Lorine Chaney of Victor, Montana was received in heaven Saturday, August 25, 2018. She passed away at 86 surrounded by love in Maricopa, CA where she resided since 2012.

Lorine was born on October 3, 1931 in Springfield, Idaho to parents Jim and Beryl Bradley. She was raised with her brother Carl and sister Evelyn.

She married Clifford Frank Chaney to whom she was married for 62 years. Together they ran a working ranch in Victor, Montana, raised 4 children and welcomed into their home others that were not born their own. Those that had the pleasure of knowing Lorine knew there was always room at her table to share a good meal, homemade bread, cookies, or fresh baked pie. She enjoyed many hand crafts, working in her garden, butterflies which had special meaning to her and spending quality time with friends and family. She had a lifelong enjoyment of reading and continuous learning. Lorine taught Bible studies, spoke at women's conferences, worked as an aide in nursing homes and spent time as a respite aide. She was a gracious person loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Lorine was preceded in death by her husband Cliff, her parents Jim and Beryl Bradley, her brother Carl Bradley, brothers-in-law Larry Phelps and Don Strickler, and her father and mother-in-law Frank and Adina Chaney.

She is survived by her children Kathryn (Don) Shinn of Maricopa, California, John (Kathy) Chaney of Portland Oregon, Virginia Thomas of Los Angeles, California, Frank Chaney of Victor, Montana, her sister Evelyn of Colbert, Washington, sisters-in-law Elizabeth (Rick) Ingraham of Hamilton, Montana, Margaret Phelps of Pocatello, Idaho, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

The family would like to share a hearfelt thank you to all who have been a special part of her life. Her wonderful friends, church family, Optimal Hospice, those providing books for reading and those assisting in her care. There are many who greatly touched her life. She was thankful for each and every one!

A Celebration of Life will be held in Taft First Baptist Church in Taft, California on September 22 at 11:00. Lorine will lay at rest in Montana with her husband at Victor Cemetery. Date and time of memorial in Montana to be determined.

Lorine requested that in lieu of flowers to please donate to one of the following: Optimal Hospice, one of the churches she was a member of: Stevensville Community Baptist Church, Taft First Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
