Community leaders hosting event at Petroleum Club

Congressman Kevin McCarthy, House Majority Leader, and a group of well-known community leaders will host Taft and Maricopa’s new County Supervisor, Zack Scrivner, at the Taft Petroleum Club, 450 Petroleum Club Rd, on Tuesday, October 9 at 6 p.m.
The event is free to attend, but reservations are required for admission.
Those in attendance will enjoy food, refreshments, music, as well as remarks from McCarthy and Scrivner.
The communities of Taft and Maricopa were moved into Scrivner’s Second District when all five of Kern County’s supervisorial districts were redrawn in June 2018. The local event is an
opportunity for residents from the Taft area to meet with Scrivner, as well as Congressman McCarthy
and enjoy good food and fellowship.
“I’m honored to have Congressman Kevin McCarthy join me in Taft, and I’m excited about the
opportunity to represent the residents of Taft and Maricopa on the Board of Supervisors. I look forward
to our event at the Petroleum Club where I’ll be able to meet even more of my new constituents,” said
Scrivner.
The community leaders hosting Scrivner’s event include Mayor Dave Noerr and his wife, Tammy Noerr, Fred and Barbara Holmes, Bob and Betty Colston, Virgie Beard, John Watkins, Les Clark, Bob and Judy Hampton, and TRC Operating Company, Inc. owners Charlie and Maxine Comfort.
