The Stanley and Madalyn Hutchison Engineering Promise offers financial aid and academic coaching
The Taft College Foundation has announce the establishment of The Stanley and Madalyn Hutchison Engineering Promise at Taft College.
As a member of and in honor of Chevron Retiree’s Association, Madalyn Hutchison’s wishes are to fund scholarships, in honor of Stanley Hutchison’s strong work ethic and accomplishments providing financial aid for students in the Taft College Engineering Program. This Engineering Program is designed to be equivalent to the first two years of a baccalaureate degree in engineering. Each scholarship is a renewable award, with the intention to fill students’ funding gaps and allowing them, to every possible extent, transfer out debt-free At all times, first focus in student selection is given to U.S. veterans, and/or spouses or children of deceased or disabled U.S. veterans. However, the “Scholarships” are available to incoming freshman, transfer students, or current students.
Stanley and Madalyn Hutchison’s legacy will be to support the Taft College Engineering program through annual gifts to the program. In addition, as part of the sustainably of The Hutchison Engineering Promise a gift will be given from their estate as a bequest.
The Taft College Foundation invites the media and community members to attend the Stanley and Madalyn Hutchison Engineering Promise Official Announcement and Luncheon at 11 am on Friday November 9th, at the Taft College ETEC Building on 715 Ashe Street Taft, CA 93268.
