The man who led Kern County Sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle that ended with a crash was sentenced to 3 years in state prison Tuesday.
Anthony James Grajczyk, also known as Anthony Lemler, 25, pleaded to felony evading arrest and auto theft charges in January, two weeks after he was arrested at the end of a pursuit that started in South Taft and ended when Grajczyk lost control of the truck at high speed and it overturned on Petroleum Club Road near Seven Sisters Road.
Grajczyk escaped injury in the crash and was caught a few minutes later trying to flee the scene.
Sheriff's deputies said he had stolen the truck minutes earlier at a convenience store in Ford City.
Grajczyk was also ordered to pay $380 in fines and restitution.
