West Kern Oil Museum will present its annual Boom Town Days Saturday.
The museum opens at 9 a.m. Serving for the barbecue will begin at 11:30.
A new feature of the event will be a demonstration of how the Yokuts Indians made arrowheads out of the antlers of elk and deer.
The gas engines also will be featured along with classic cars.
The band “Forever Surf” will perform.
The Taft Union High School Oil Academy students will be on hand to help out.
All of the Museum’s exhibits will be open.
Museum volunteers also will be selling helium-filled balloons.
