A fugitive sex offender from Madera County was arrested on Monday in Tupman.
Kern County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher Casteel 50, in the 300 block of Grace Avenue.
Sgt. Martin Downs said deputies received information that Casteel, who was wanted on no-bail warrants for violation of probation and violating registration compliance as a registered sex offender, was in the small community.
They contacted Casteel and arrested him without incident, Downs said.
Casteel was taken to the central receiving facility in Bakersfield to be turned over to Madera County officials.
