A Maricopa man is serving a 30-day jail term after he pled no contest to a misdemeanor charge of annoying or molesting a child in Maricopa.
Ronnie Joe Fisher was arrested by Kern County Sheriff's deputies on Jan.15.
Sgt. Martin Downs said deputies were told that Fisher had “run his hands through a little girls' hair and said he was going to kiss her” in a Maricopa convenience store.
Fisher was also placed on 3 years probation and ordered to register as a sex offender, according to court records.
Witnesses told deputies he asked the girl, who is 11, to join him for breakfast.
Fisher was arrested a short time later at his residence nearby.
He entered the plea on Thursday in the Taft Branch of Kern County Superior Court.
