Over the next several weeks, parents will be scrambling to get their kids ready for a new school year.
The Garcia Spot owner Francisco Millan hopes to ease those nervous feelings by offering a wide variety of clothing items at a low price.
Millan, who had the grand opening on July 17, has everything for babies, kids, teens and parents from shoes and sandals, pants, different designs of dresses, shirts, sunglasses, belts and hats. While Millan has a wide selection, he keeps the prices low.
According to Millan, a pair of shoes in his store goes for $10 while three pairs go for $25. Belts and sunglasses each go for $7.99.
Clothes are not the only things Millan offers. He also sells skateboard decks and has a room in the store where kids can stay cool while playing video games including an Xbox.
While Millan has a wide variety and low prices, he still wants to get input from the customer as the store grows. So far he has gotten a good response.
The Garcia Spot has also sponsored a couple of kids based on being good skaters and positive attitudes.
The store is open between 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The store is open from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sundays. The store is located at 210 Sixth street. For more information contact 769-9030.
