Detectives from the Kern County Sheriff's Rural Crime Unit are investigating two thefts on the Westside.
Unknown suspects vandalized a drilling rig located in the area of Honolulu Road and Airport Road. The suspects also took a 6’ rig bar, two fire extinguishers and 75 gallons of gasoline. Farming equipment was stolen from a yard located near 15100 Copus Road. The stolen equipment is described as: One green Rigs 8 HP/5000 watt generator, two gold Onan 5000 watt, propane powered generators, one gold Lincoln 200 welder, one cast iron John Deere extension, one 80 gallon auxiliary fuel tank, four ¼ ton chrome rims, a 10’ long work bench with a vice, and a 250 pound steel anvil.
