Fanshier murder trial delayed until August

The trial date for a man accused of murdering a toddler in Ford city in 2011 has been delayed for five months.
Dustin Wedel, 25,  will go on trial on Aug. 20 for the death of 3-year-old James Fanshier.
Wedel is charged with first degree murder, willful cruelty to a child and assault of a child with great bodily injury.
Wedel's trial had been scheduled to start on March 5.
Wedel, who is being held on $1.025 million bail, was arrested on June 23, 2011 in connection with the death of the young boy, who died on Jan. 23, 2011 in a small Ford City bungalow.
He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
