Emanuel Lee Henke was born on April 5, 1946, in Valley City, North Dakota, to Edward and Martha Henke.

He was welcomed into a family of six other siblings: Jeanette Larson, Richard Henke, Daniel Henke, Clayton Henke, David Henke and Paul Henke.


At the age of 17, Lee was accepted and stationed into the Navy. Later in his service he joined the war in Vietnam. He was discharged honorably.


He left behind four children, Aron Lee Henke, Isaac Lee Henke, Linda Lee Henke and Audrey May Henke; two stepchildren, Kristen Grace Davis and Jessica Kathrince Davis; many grandchildren; and a fiance of 25 years, Linda Kathrince Davis.


He was a hard working man with a gentle soul. He helped anyone in need with no hesitation. He resided in Happy Camp for 27 years.


On March 24, 2018, Lee passed away at the age of 71. He left behind many great memories and wonderful people who will remember his presence and keep his name alive.
