September 27, 1933 - October 3, 2018
Our Mother celebrated her 85th birthday on September 27th surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends, on the morning of October 3rd our Dad picked her up. She’s been waiting eight long years for this heavenly reunion.
Valerie Anne Webb was born in Taft, CA on September 27, 1933 to Vance A. and Nettie Webb. She attended schools in Taft and graduated from TUHS in 1951, she then attended Lufkin’s Business School. She began her career at Kern Mutual Telephone Company and retired in 1986 from the County of Kern where she was the Clerk Administrator of the West Kern Muni Court. After retirement she worked as the Office Manager for Huddleston Crane, where she provided love and support to her nephews Dave and David for many years.
On April 18, 1953 she married the love of her life, Raymond Miller. They shared over 56 years of marriage. There were years of trips to
the desert to camp and ride our dirt bikes in the winter and many summers spent on the lakes in California and Nevada boating and water skiing. Our parents provided their family with so many special memories that we will always cherish.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond. She is survived by her brother Jeff Webb (Kathy), her children, Doug, Linda Suniga (Larry) and David. Miller. Her great-grandchildren
Jensyn Soulas, Mikey Almengor, Hurley Rosales, Roxy Rosales,
Jordynn Bustamante, Zedakiah Almengor and Jason Luevano. And dear family friends Alan and Jeri Poznoff.
The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the loving care provided to our Mom by the Rehabilitation Center of Bakersfield over the last eight years.
Anyone that would like to share in Valerie’s Celebration of Life is welcome to join the family at an open house on October 27, 2018 from 11:30 to 2:00 at the Suniga home at 6414 Bama Rose Ct., Bakersfield.
