May 15, 1946 - October 23, 2018

Ronald Hukill was born in Bakersfield, California to Neoma Fenton and Jack Hukill on May 15th, 1946. He passed at home with family and loved ones on October 23rd, 2018.
Ron graduated from Arroyo Grande High School in 1964. He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967 accomplishing E4 Rank before discharge. He owned and operated a drywall company in Santa Maria for a few years.  Ron also worked in the Taft area for 30+ years in the Oilfields, many of which were spent with Gene Watson Construction. He worked for Chevron Gas Station for his remaining years.
Ron is survived by his wife Barbara Hukill of 45 years. Daughters: Melody Gilbert, Sonya Orr and Gail Gardner. Sons: James Hukill and Bobbie Miller.  Grandchildren: Drew and Brandon Orr, Cortney Gardner, Brandon Miller, Alexis Gilbert, Shannon Gilbert and Erin Gilbert. Siblings: Donna, Rebecca, Snookum, Tina, and Deborah. 11 great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends that will miss him greatly.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Neoma and father: James Helton, three of his siblings: Kay Rush, Jim Wayne Helton and Ed Helton and his grandson: Corbin Gardner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lori Family Mortuary, on 4th street, in Taft, on Saturday, October 27th, at 1 p.m.  After the Celebration of Life, there will be a Potluck reception at A street park. All that knew and loved him are welcome to attend both.
