A graveside funeral service will be held in West Side District Cemetery on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. for Lloyd Edward Moore, 73.  Mr. Moore was born in El Cajon on May 4, 1938 and passed away in a Bakersfield hospital on January 26, 2012.  He proudly served his country for 26 years as a member of the U.S. Navy.  After his retirement from the Navy he was employed by Chevron and retired after 17 years of service.  Mr. Moore was the owner of L&S Performance Horses and he loved to BBQ.  Mr. Moore was dedicated to serving his country and his family.  In retirement his love was horses.  Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Clydine Moore.  His survivors include his wife, Sylvia Moore of Bakersfield; his sons and their wives, Steve and Debbie Moore of San Diego and Brad and  Debbie Moore of Bakersfield; his daughter and her fiance, Debbie Moore and Ken Beard of Bakersfield; his brother and his wife, Tom and Mary Moore of Taft; his step-daughter and her husband, Koni and George Santos of Bakersfield; his grandchildren, Suzanne and her husband, Scott Steele, Tyler Moore, Brandon Hall, Hudson, Frankie and Madison and his great grandson, Zachary.  Friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.  To convey condolences or sign an online register, please visit www.EricksonAndBrown.com.  We know heaven has horses 'cause a cowboy just rode up.
